Harvey Moeis: The Business Magnate Facing Allegations in Indonesia's Tin Trading Corruption Case

Businessman Harvey Moeis, who is also the husband of actress Sandra Dewi, has been named a suspect by the Attorney General's Office in a corruption case related to the trading of tin commodities under the Mining Business License (IUP) of PT Timah Tbk from 2015 to 2022, causing state losses amounting to Rp271 trillion.

Harvey Moeis, born on November 30, 1985, comes from a lineage of Papua, Ambon, and Makassar descent. He is no stranger to the commodities and mining sector, having a background deeply rooted in these industries.

Harvey's wealth primarily stems from his involvement in the mining business. His extended family has long been engaged in the coal mining business, owning several companies such as PT Refined Bangka Tin, CV Venus Inti Perkasa, among others.

In the coal mining sector, Harvey himself owns businesses like PT Multi Harapan Utama (MHU) in East Kalimantan, where he serves as the President Commissioner. He also holds shares in various mining companies, including PT Refined Bangka Tin, CV Venus Inti Perkasa, PT Tinindo Inter Nusa, PT Sariwiguna Bina Sentosa, and PT Stanindo Inti Perkasa.

Additionally, Harvey is known to have a stake in a publicly listed company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABMM), amounting to US$185.6 million or around Rp2 trillion, representing 18.17% of the total contracts.

Furthermore, Harvey has investments in other sectors, such as serving as the Ambassador of Ferrari Roma for Indonesia, with a showroom located in Jakarta.

It's worth noting that Harvey's parents are not ordinary individuals. His mother, Irma Silviani, comes from a family of conglomerates, while his father, Hayong Moeis, has passed away.
